GoviEx intends to develop the Muntanga Uranium Project in Siavonga and Chirundu Districts
in Zambia. The proposed Project involves mining of uranium ore from the five deposits
(Muntanga, Dibbwi East, Dibbwi, Njame and Gwabi) in a phased approach. Phase 1 will be
implemented at Muntanga, Dibbwi East while Dibbwi, Njame and Gwabi will be implemented
in phase 2. Ore processing into concentrates will continue at Central site (Muntanga and
Dibbwi East). The Project will consist open pit mining and processing facilities to produce the
triuranium octoxide (U3O8) concentrates. The project will also involve construction of heap
leach pads and processing plant at the Central site (Muntanga and Dibbwi East). Uranium ore
material from the satellite deposits (Dibbwi, Njame and Gwabi) will be trucked to Central for
processing during phase 02.
