EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This document is an Environmental Impact Statement Report for Sino Great Logistics Company
Limited (SGLCL) a Zambian registered company. The Company holds an exploration license No.
36741-HQ-LEL which is a large-scale license. The license covers a total area of 17,375.938
Hectares located in Nyampa area of Chief Mweemba.
SGLCL intend to produce coal from the site through the following major stages of production:

– Open-Cast Mining
– Crushing
– Washing
– Dense Media Separation (DMS) – for beneficiation of fine particles of coal

The proposed coal mine will have an estimated operational life of 100 years and will cover an area of
approximately 1957 hectares though a maximum footprint area of 200 ha will cover the entire mining
area. Its production capacity is estimated at 500,000 MT of finished coal product per annum. The
product will then be sold locally to different clients across the country.
