FOR THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF A MODERN MIXED-USE COMPLEX FOR AGRICULTURE FIELDS, PROCESSING FACTORIES, WAREHOUSING, DISTRIBUTION HUBS AND OFFICE AMENITIES ON SUB OF FARM NO. 1444 IN PROSPECT AREA, KABWE DISTRICT, CENTRAL PROVINCE

 

Project Background

Bayer Zambia Limited is a subsidiary of BAYER AG, a German based multinational business which offers health and agricultural solutions. Bayer Zambia Limited falls under the crop science division of the BAYER AG and is focused on delivering R&D, Crop Protection and Hybrid Maize Seeds to the customers in Zambia and several other Sub-Sahara African markets such as Tanzania, Kenya, Nigeria to name but a few.

The developer, Bayer Zambia Limited (BZL) owns and has leasehold rights to Sub A of Farm No. 1444 measuring approximately 100 Ha in total. BZL intends to develop infrastructure for internal foundation seed, commercial seed drying, conditioning and distribution. To support this, the developer will be hosting production research, quality assurance/quality control, warehousing, and bagging and distribution facilities. There will also be a site administrative office. The proposed project activities will all take place on 20Ha of the 100Ha land available.
