This document forms the Environmental Impact Statement Report for KARAN Petroleum Zambia Limited (KPZL).

KARAN Petroleum Zambia Limited (KPZL) is a private company registered with the registrar of companies (PACRA) on the 24th of December 2019. The shareholders have been involved in bulk transportation and distribution of petroleum products from and to distribution locations within Zambia since 2019. KPZL recognise that the consumption of petroleum product in Zambia has increased in recent years and as such many organizations are strategically installing fuel storage tanks to ensure sustainability and also to avoid disruptions in operations that come due to delays in restocking by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) or due to occasional closures of Indeni Petroleum Refinery Project. KPZL will ensure environmental sustainability of operations of the depot through preparation of the EIA and therein, an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) as per the Zambian legal requirements.
