EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Texxon Energies Limited acquired and conducted exploration rights under license No. 21052-HQ-SEL. The license was granted by the Ministry of Mines in May, 2016. In May 2021, the company was given Zema clearance to conduct exploration activities within the license area. The company wishes to now commence coal mining activities in the license area after successful exploration works. It should also be noted that the company has already applied for a mining license under license number 26625-HQ-SML, under which mining activities will be conducted once ZEMA approval for mining is granted (Receipt from Mine Cadastre showing the License number under which mining will be conducted i.e. 26625-HQ-SML, is attached). Note that in applying for the mining license, Texxon Energies decided to reduce the area for the license from the original size (998.3335 Ha) to 396 Ha. This license is located within, Sinazongwe District, Sulwegonde, in Senior Chief Mweemba’s area. Texxon Energies Limited also plans to construct a coal processing plant that will produce crushed and washed coal.
