Overview
This document is an Environmental Impact Statement Report for Ever Great Energy Company
Limited (EGECL), a Zambian registered company. The Company holds an Exploration license No.
30360-HQ-LEL which is a large-scale license. The license covers a total area of 1,912.93 Hectares
located in Chieftainess Kawaza‟s Chiefdom, Sinda district.
EGECL intend to produce phosphate from the site through the following major stages of production: –

– Open – Cast Mining
– Crushing
– Washing
– Dense Media Separation (DMS) – for beneficiation of fine particles of phosphate

The proposed phosphate mine will have an estimated operational life of 100 years and will cover an
area of maximum footprint area of 200 ha will cover the entire mining area. Its production capacity is
estimated at 500,000 MT of finished phosphate product per annum. The product will then be sold
locally to different clients across the country.
