The rehabilitation project involves: full pavement reconstruction including sub-base and base course
replacement, wearing course application (Double Bituminous Surface Treatment — DBST), and
shoulder construction; rehabilitation and replacement of drainage infrastructure including an
estimated 400 to 600 culvert structures, rehabilitation of all roadside drainage channels, and bridge
rehabilitation or replacement at structurally deficient crossings; earthworks and road geometry
corrections; borrow pit operations (estimated 50-70 sites along the corridor); contractor camp
establishment and operation; and installation of roadside furniture and road safety features. The
construction period is estimated at 18 to 24 months, with a peak workforce of approximately 300 to
500 workers. A minimum 30% local labour target has been established
