This Environmental and Social Impact Statement (ESIS) has been prepared for the Upper
Lunsemfwa Dam Project Limited (ULDPL) to assess environmental and social impacts
that will be associated with the construction and operation of the Upper Lunsemfwa Dam
(ULD) located in Central Province of Zambia, approximately 300km northeast of Lusaka.
The project is located within Mkushi District 13km southwest of Mkushi town and
approximately 160km northeast of the provincial capital, Kabwe.
