# Updated Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF)

This Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) has been prepared to screen
 and monitor the sub-projects under the Zambia Integrated Forest Landscape Project (ZIFLP).
 Moreover, it provides the mitigation measures in case of any negative impacts encountered
 during the implementation and operation of the sub-project activities. The predominant aim of
 this Framework is to make sure that these sub-project activities do not result in adverse
 environmental and social impacts in the first place; however, if anyhow they do, their extent is
 limited.
