Proposed Low-Cost Housing Development In Chitambo District By National Pension Scheme Authority

The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) intends to develop the 15.5 Ha land for 190 Low Cost Housing units under socially and economically targeted investments. The Project site is located in Chitambo District of Central Province and can be accessed on the Mansa - Tuta (D235) road about 10km from the Mukando turnoff (roads D235/T2). The Project site is divided into two areas on each side of D235 (each area is set back approximately 50 metres from the D235).

The housing layout design is similar for all plots and is proposed to be a detached single storey building, sitting on a 20m X 30m (600m2) size plot. The road reserve has been proposed to be 12m wide, to accommodate the carriageway, drains, sidewalks, street lighting and other street furniture, utilities such as power, water and sewer. A mechanical wastewater management facility will be installed on site.
